Walter
Today a man named walter came into our intersession and talked about how he had to flee from his native country of Uganda-twice! He told us about how he lost one of his sons, thankfully the other two and his wife all survived. Since I am in the Immagration and Refugee Rights group this really effected our group.

Op. peace love and harmony day 5
Today was day five of our intersession, today we went and stood outside of stores and had a diaper drive! We were split up and my group consisted of Samantha, Adam, Nilo, and Jack, we walked to VONS about a block away from our school. We had a lot of fun because we were there for to hours.
I felt happy after doing the diaper drive I felt like I really made a difference considering how many people we got to donate.

Op. Peace love and harmony day 2
Today we went on our first field trip. Half of the class went to Saint Vincent de Pauls and the other half (me included) went to a landfill.
At the landfill we got a tour of the whole facility, and it is a BIG facility. We saw the trash, recycling (wood, plants, mulch, ect.), hazardous waste and recycling (paper, glass, cardboard, ect.)places. At the landfill I learned that San Diego produces the most trash per day, in the whole world!!!
